There is a version of this conversation where I tell you that you get what you pay for. That is true, but it is not interesting. What is more useful is understanding what you are actually buying at different levels of investment — because the difference between a $100 arrangement and a $1,000 commission is not simply scale. It is a fundamentally different kind of work.
What Changes at the High End
The first thing that changes is sourcing. At the $100 level, florals come from standing wholesale inventory — what the supplier has available that week, in whatever condition it arrives. At the level we work, I source on the morning of composition. I visit the market, I select individual stems at peak condition, and I turn down anything that is not exactly right. A calla lily that opened two days ago is not the same as one that opened this morning. That distinction shows in the work and it shows in how long it holds.
The second thing that changes is time. A conventional arrangement takes an experienced florist 20 to 40 minutes. A sculptural commission from Pinker Times takes several hours — including a consultation, sourcing, composition, and in many cases on-site delivery and styling. The labor reflects a completely different level of engagement with the material and the occasion.
The third thing is the object itself. We work with heirloom-grade vessels, sourced or supplied. We compose around a single sculptural focal — one element that drives the entire composition. Everything else is in service of that decision. This is not how most floral work is made, and the result does not look like most floral work.
What We Offer and What It Costs
Bouquet — $360. 12 to 15 stems, handcomposed by Skye Lin, sourced the morning of delivery. Signature wrap or small studio vessel. Lead time 1 to 2 weeks. For a significant birthday, a meaningful thank-you, or an occasion that deserves something genuinely considered.
Maison — $620. 20 to 25 premium stems in a curated ceramic or glass vessel, with white-glove delivery and on-site styling. Lead time 2 weeks. For dinner parties, anniversaries, and the spaces that should be remembered.
Sculptural Commission — from $1,080. 35 or more stems built around a statement focal in an heirloom vessel. Full design consultation and mood board. Personal delivery. Lead time 3 weeks. For openings, important gifts, brand moments, and clients who want the best botanical work available in Atlanta.
Who Commissions at This Level
Our private clients tend to be executives and entrepreneurs who send flowers for significant occasions and want them to be unmistakably excellent. People hosting dinners that matter. People who have received beautiful flowers before and want something different — something that feels like a work, not a product.
Our institutional clients are hotels, brands, and cultural organizations with standards to match. They do not need a vendor. They need a studio with a point of view.
