Most people, when they order flowers, are choosing from a catalog. They pick a size, confirm a delivery date, and receive something that looks approximately like the photograph. That is a transaction. A commission is something different.
At Pinker Times, a commission begins with a question: what do you need this piece to do? Not what size, not what color — what occasion, what room, what feeling when it arrives. The answer shapes everything that follows.
How it actually works
I source each composition the morning it is built. Not from inventory — from the Atlanta Flower Market, that morning, selecting what is at absolute peak: the deepest ranunculus of the week, the protea that arrived overnight, the garden rose that will not be available again until next season. No two pieces repeat, because no two mornings at the market are the same.
Before anything is sourced, I ask about the occasion, the recipient, the space the piece will inhabit, and how long you want it to last. A composition for a dinner table on Saturday night is built differently from one that will live in an entryway for three weeks. Both are right. They require different materials and different decisions.
The three scales
The studio works at three levels of composition.
A Bouquet begins at $360: twelve to fifteen stems from that morning's market, wrapped in our signature style or set in a small studio vessel. Lead time is one to two weeks. This is the piece for a birthday, a hostess gift, a thank-you that should be remembered differently than something purchased in transit.
A Maison piece begins at $620: twenty to twenty-five premium seasonal stems composed in a curated ceramic or glass vessel, with white-glove delivery and on-site styling. Lead time is two weeks. For dinner parties, anniversaries, and the moments that deserve a room to match.
A Sculptural Commission begins at $1,080: thirty-five stems or more, built around a rare or statement focal, set in an heirloom-grade vessel with a full design consultation, mood board, and personal delivery. Lead time is three weeks. For openings, brand moments, and gifts of consequence.
How to begin
Share three things: the occasion, the date, and where in Atlanta you need it delivered. I respond within forty-eight hours with a proposal — palette, vessel, delivery window.
